NO-GO-ZONES - Call for Participation


No-Go Zones

A two month project of audio/radio workshops and broadcasts with and by young people in South London. We are asking ourselves where we just won't go, and we'd like to ask you too: what's a no-go for you?
No-Go Zones... Is it a certain word, or colour, a song or type of music, or dance, a feeling, a view, noise, arts, tears, crowds, education, animals/pets, reading, praying, silence, graveyards, museums, a newspaper, a wig, a foreign language, a park, a drink or food, theatre, opera, trends, a tone of voice, a time of day, a way of walking the street, or. ? What's yours.?

 

Feed our Project

Get involved in the No-Go Zones radio project and help to shape each forthcoming broadcast by recording and sending your stories, thoughts, short writings, audio/sound files and images to the production team at nogozones@hotmail.co.uk Texts and Answerphone to 07983 109 439

 

Join the No-Go-Zones production team live during Camberwell Arts Festival

Saturday 23rd June 2007, 11am - 4pm, Camberwell College of Arts

Our mobile No-Go-Zones recording studio will be there front of house for the day and our team look forward to meeting you. We will also conduct informal interviews and welcome your NO-GO stories, thoughts and pre-recorded audio files; for those wishing to submit pre-recorded material we accept most formats including CDs, Minidisks, Bluetooth and infrared exchanges from mobile phones and other devices are welcomed.

Broadcasts update

BC world service 'outlook' programmewill showcase the no-go-zones audio/radio work in the week starting 9 july with daily inserts drawn from the project's open on-line audio archive and a live interview with the young production team on friday 13 july

The ongoing weekly broadcasts on 'Resonance 104.4fm' have been extended into this week as well with the final programme going on air thursday 12 july 3-4pm. The no-go-zones growing archive of audio clips and previous broadcasts is open and easily accessible following the link on the front page of
